What a game this should be. Thoughts? Predictions?

I'd love to see Belfry win but I think Huntington is a better team this year.

Huntington is huge, talented, and fast.

 

They have a 5* Jr OLinemen and some veteran talent. Great size at the WR spot as well.

 

Historically they are one of the Top 5 WV 3A teams and are expected to compete for a title this year.

 

Belfry showed a lot of promise last night in their scrimmage and seem to be coming along nicely.

 

I think Belfry may have too steep of a test in the season opener but it still is doable. Huntington historically is not a dominant defensive team. If Belfry can control the clock, protect the football, and create a couple big plays on D they will have a shot at it.

 

For a KY comparison I would equate Huntington to a Lafayette.

This was the game that made me decide to take it the PCB again this year. Hope to see Belfry post the win.

Belfry is going to be good before the season is over. They have an abundance of talent at the skill positions but their front 7 on both sides of the ball are all new. I don't think they have enough to beat this Huntington team, though, not this early in the season.

I gotta go with Belfry until someone beats them.
