Dang...can't believe I left out Rick Scheer. Those Howard Furniture teams is the reason I and many of my buddies growing up fell in love with slow pitch softball.

No doubt I didn't pick the best of the best, but I happened to win MVP of a class A tourney that Schuck was in so I remembered him. I also knew the other 2 massively famous folks I mentioned.

Back in the day, in the country anyway, cornhole had an entirely different connotation.

 

When I visit my family in Iowa, they call it Bags. Guess they're still hung up on that connotation.

Todd Martin was a two-time major finalist and made it to four other major SFs, and is the CEO of the Tennis HOF. That fits for being genre-famous.
