Scott/Boone County Updates (Scrimmage)

Featured Replies

How is it legal, moral or ethical to play 2 scrimmages in 24 hours?

Like Forest Gump said stupid is as stupid does.

My bad they scrimmaged on Thursday. Please substitute 48 hours for 24 hours. No other corrections needed.

I might go to the game and see how this works out for them.

I really hope no one gets hurt. That's just plain idiotic but if that kind of judgement is what's leading Boone County's football program it speaks volumes to the current state of a once proud program.

I'm not sure how this arrangement transpired but I am guessing the starters who went hard for three quarters on Thursday will not see a lot of action today.

If that is true it will be an easy morning for Scott.

I can't confirm this score but I was told Scott won the scrimmage 32 to 0 over Boone.

Yep. 20 - 0 varsity score after 3 periods. Boone varsity played the whole 3 quarters. Let's just say they didn't appear to have the same energy today that they had on Thursday. I really don't take a lot from this scrimmage except that our kids battled through it. A couple of dropped passes by us would have helped field position and added energy, but for the most part it was what I expected from the varsity.

Thursday against Cooper was a very physical 3 quarters. Those boys had muscle fatigue today. But as I say, they battled.

Scott has some nice looking skill players and some size on the team. Hopefully, they were able to see some things that helped them for the season.

Good luck to Scott High School in 2017.

I looked for a guy with SK colors on but didn't see you @Footballforever74.

Didn't make it.

Idiotic? Nah. In todays age it shouldn't happen but we scrimmaged Boyle county 3 times in 3 days back when they were in their heyday. Our coach and Chuck Smith aren't idiotic.

Back in the day Boyle used to get their 4 or 5 scrimmages in each year... :)
