August 5, 20179 yr Ends tomorrow folks...get out there and take advantage. Mrs. C1 and i enjoyed a great morning together down in Covingtons Mainstrasse ( the official starting point of the yard sale ). We purchased an end table and antique chair at a great discount and added to our collection of victrola albums for our phonogram. Also got some great OH River drift wood crafts and some other assorted items. The weather is outstanding and the crowd is great as well. Saw everything from vinyl records to clothes, dishware, baseball cards, furniture, tools, posters, landscape ornaments, and much more. Take advantage and have fun... :thumb:
August 5, 20179 yr Stayed off the beaten track today and it paid off. Bought a Sportz truck tent for ten bucks, a pile of old iron tools for another ten spot, a big old fireplace grate and dog irons for five. Beautiful day to go picking.
August 5, 20179 yr I went from Owenton to Sparta and actually from Owenton about halfway to Frankfort. It`s a great stretch through there and the best part is ,plenty of room on the sides to pull off. Crazy as it sounds, I never bought anything. But it was fun looking. We went on to Warsaw and had lunch at Jewels on Main. That was the highlight of the day.
