July 27, 20179 yr Brunch at Biscuit Head. Thank me later... This and add a trip to King Daddys for their fried chicken. Tupelo Honey is another great breakfast spot ( get there early, same can be said for Biscuit Head ). Just a lot of great options. Enjoy your time, it's a fantastic town!
July 31, 20179 yr Author Just got back. We had a fabulous time. We did the Biltmore property on Friday. Absolutely amazing. We did the Upstairs/Downstairs Tour which was a look at the servants day-to-day lives. Very interesting. After the house, we visited the winery. Super cool. Friday night we ate at The Grove Park Inn at the Sunset Terrace. Awesome view and terrific food. The Grove Park property is incredible. Saturday morning while the Mrs was at the Spa (which she was the best she'd ever visited), I played golf. Holy cow, what an awesome, old golf course! 18 holes built on 90 acres. Although not very long, it was fairly tight and the greens were typical Donald Ross. Saturday night we walked around downtown. We started at the Wicked Weed with a couple of drinks and an app and then proceeded up the street to a place called Mayfel's. Cajun restaurant. Very good. After dinner we did some more walking around, stopping at a couple of other establishments. Today on our way home, we went over to Haywood St. for breakfast/brunch. The wait at Biscuit Head's was over an hour, so we went to King Daddy's. Very cool place and the food was spectacular. Needless to say, we had a great time and we will be visiting Asheville again in the future.

July 31, 20179 yr Going to Ash in a couple weeks. A friend of mine visited there a few years ago and liked it so much that he moved there.
August 1, 20179 yr Heading down in September, thanks for the information. There's been a couple Asheville threads on bgp with more good info. Look those up as well. We have friends there from NKY who live there and we always stay with them and have a great time taking in new restaurants and sights. Schedules and work have limited us to 2-3 day stays. I really look forward to a full week there sometime down the road. The whole region has a lot to offer. Have fun and safe travels!
