Why would the list contain the entire "Hunger Games" trilogy, but list only one of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series? Seemed weird.

I've completed 13 of the books, but I don't really enjoy fiction. I read a lot more nonfiction books.

I only looked at the first 40 and have read 15 of them.

I thought it was a pretty good list...although I would have left out the likes of Mitch Albom and Nick Hornby in place of some older more classical pieces. Offhand I don't recall seeing Narrative Of The Life Of Frederick Douglass or Last Of The Mohicans on the list. I would have included either of those over anything that Albom or Hornby have written.

 

And if you've got 34 of the first 40, you've probably got me absolutely smoked. I felt like I was pretty good with 81 total out of the 300.

 

I didn't see it either, thought it belonged.
