They said they didn't get the normal confirmation that is required. Could be true. May not. They certainly didn't say the story was incorrect.
So, basically they just reported on something without confirmation? Did they learn that in the Dan Rather School of Journalism?

This is a tough day.....:thumb:

They used one anoynmous source and the story has been disproven by other outlets? They were fired because not only did they not follow protocol but the story has been proven to be false.

They had one confirmation. Apparently that goes against their vetting process.

Are you saying that tells us it was a lie?

No argument. They were fired for not following proper process.

Does that mean they lied?

Yes with how swift the punishment was CNN told the public the witness was not reliable. Plus outside reporting anf the person attacked in the story statements tell us the story was a lie.

So the source lied?

So the source lied?

I am guessing there was no source......Clyde after the undercover video who can believe anything these guys say? I mean to anyone that will watch , this pretty much is, well its just what most thought. Crap. A narrative. If someone will really dig on CNN and the DNC I would bet the crap would get even deeper.

So the source lied?

Yes or there was no source? Are you missing the rest of context of this story I'm confused.

Unless I missed some updates the issue is the 3 fired employees didn't do enough vetting of the story and relied on a single source.

Did I miss an update saying there was actually no source? If there wasn't a source at all then , of course, CNN lied. However, if there was a source then I can't follow the "CNN lied" logic.

So they apologized to the man because the information was the Truth?
