Breastfeeding.... Okay up to what Age???

Featured Replies

Creepy! When your child is old enough to remember being breast fed, it is just plain creepy.

And I see she doesn't vaccinate her children either.:angrybird1:

Something else too. When a 6 month old is hungry and or it's time to feed if on a feeding schedule, you have to feed him/her then and there, wherever you might be. I think we all realize that. 6 years old? They can wait a little bit. So even if this odd lady is breast feeding her kid at this outlandish age, there was absolutely no need to do it in a public park. That feeds in to the creepy factor and what RTS said about maybe being mentally unstable.

If the kid can walk up to Mom and essentially place his order, then he's too old.

As I told my wife, if the kid can unhook the bra on thier own, they are too old.

I had a cousin that breast fed until he was old enough to talk about it. He'd say one was his and one was daddy's.

And to add...she states in the article that she does it because she believes breast milk to be the best for her daughter and healthy. Ok...but if that's the case she can drink breast milk from a sippy cup that has been pumped. I think that shows it's more about what mommy enjoys...she for whatever reason enjoys breast feeding and doesn't want to stop it. She even stated her daughter will decide when to stop breast feeding and she will continue to breast feed her daughter until then. Well, you know...parents are the decision makers, or are supposed to be anyway...sooooooooo...

Sorry, I don't buy the "breast milk is the healthiest option" garbage either. Animals aren't meant to live on breast milk past a certain age. As a matter of fact humans are the only animal I can think of that continue drinking milk past infancy.

In my opinion breast feeding a child beyond infancy hampers their emotional and mental development. What the woman in the article is doing should criminal.

Well I can guarantee if little Timmy is at at a coach pitch little league game and he runs over to mommy and latches on...he better be the mentally strongest kid on the planet. Unfortunately I highly doubt that he would be.
