Governor Keeps State Money in Secretive Hedge Funds

Featured Replies

Gotta keep the the Dems. from wasting it somehow..

If it hadn't been mismanaged for decades by Frankfort and stolen from by past administrations drastic and potentially risky investments like these would have never been necessary.

That said, none of this needs to be any less transparent than any other investment the Fund makes.

Thank you, and agreed.

The person who wrote this article obviously does not understanding investing. Poorly written.

Does that absolve the Governor in any way? I don't know investing either; just asking.

I was talking to a guy that recently retired and is counting on that fund for hopefully the next 30-40 years. He said he'd rather have the money in Risky Investments than being pulled out and spent as part of the States General Fund and never repaid as it has been in the past. I asked him if he wasn't worried and he said that he was, but with an investment you have a chance of a return, if the money just stolen by the legislature and spent..."it is gone!"

I guess if your retirement comes from these funds that is one way to look at it. I'd be furious at the leadership in Frankfort that has stolen from the fund for other pet projects and barrels of pork to ensure their continued reelections.
