Who has the horses in the backfield?

Featured Replies

Gray and Murray from Ryle. Minnifield and Gay from Henry Clay. I am sure Mercer Co. has got 4 or 5 good backs.

St. X has Victor Anderson, who many longtime X fans have deemed the best back ever at the school, as well as, Rolandan "Deuce" Finch, maybe the best sophomore in the state.

Tim Phillips is the best sophomore in the state by far. I will not say he is better than Vic though, but he does have more yards on less carries.

I love the stable at Mercer where they have they have 7 or 8 very good backs. Danville has a corral of backs. I know there are alot of good rushing attacks in the state. Throw in your opinion of the best rushing attacks you have seen this season so far.

This kind of reminds me of the great comic (I can't remember his name) that said "You'd better watch a man that says he's boss at his house because he'll lie about other things also". Just kidding, please don't take me serious.

John Hardin through 4 games has 1341 total yards on the ground, with the leading rushing only having 380 or so. Getting done with a stable of quality backs.

Devils loaded indeed, but Mercer COunty has about 7 backs that (if taken from Mercer) would be the starting RB for the top 7 2-A schools.

Dont be modest, Mercer Co. has 9 running backs that would start for St. X because they dont have a running back:rolleyes: Seriously i saw there JV team and they didnt impress me, i didnt see these 5 others that dont play on friday night that should, Mercer has 3 backs this year that can be considered starters.

Frankfort has a loaded backfield, but it seems to be this way every year... nothing new. Antoine Robinson and Jordan Morgan are the two primary backs, but EJ Fields, who plays quarterback will also get to run the ball from the halfback posistion. Conrad Garland, a fullback, can also run up the gut. So don't underestimate Frankfort.

I didn't say we had 7 or 8 backs good enough to start for anybody. We have good depth. 7 or 8 guys who have shown they have what it takes to hit the holes and gain yardage.
