Lincoln Co. has a major opportunity to win this district if they can take care of business at home — MadCent and GRC have to go to Death Valley — and if Calhoun and, more importantly, Miller stays healthy.

This district is finally up for grabs, Madison Central has dominated it the past 4 years. It is about time the other teams step up their level of play.

 

The Indians probably have more talent then anyone else in this district, it is just getting the young players to rise up and play more consistentally. The next three weeks Central plays at South Laurel, at Highlands, and at GRC. The Highlands game could get pretty rough, the other two games will decide if MC will make the playoffs or not.

 

I would think Lincoln is in the drivers seat right now, especially with their two toughest games at home.

The district is so wide open this year. What a difference a year makes.

 

The 4 playoff teams from last year are a combined 2-5 (1-1, 0-2, 1-1, & 0-2 respectively),

 

The 3 non playoff teams are 4-1 combined (2-0, 1-0 & 1-1 respectively). Lincoln has already beaten the #2 & #4 teams from last year while North beat the #2 team, and Montgomery beat the #1 team & lost to the #3 team.

 

This could be the most exciting final 5 weeks in this district in several seasons. Lincoln has themselves in position to make a run at the district title.
