Closer game than score says, tons of sloppy play and errors by both teams. No Jake for Scott really hurts them in the middle. I don't really see either team advancing far this year.

Agreed that it was sloppy by both teams. The difference is that I think SK has the tools to correct their issues right now and are decently deep. The Eagles are vey young and have a longer road to hoe.

Was there a chance?? Maybe. But he would have needed a really big year, and even then, I think there's some question about his position. It's really hard to get drafted out of high school. And a full basketball ride in my mind is a better choice than signing as a late round draft pick simply because it's worth more money and there's an education attached to it. Being a late round draft pick is a long, hard, road, and financially very tough. I'm in the camp that he has more upside playing baseball (he's not necessarily a better baseball player at this moment in time). But I completely understand his decision, especially since becoming a pro is a long shot in either sport.

He hasn't played in any games, and he's currently not with the team. I guess he could change his mind and still come out, but as of right now, he's not playing.
