Lake County Micah Miniard (Boyle County, Danville, KY)

 

Game was locked up at zero after 5 1/2 that was when,Jorma Rodriguez single to get things started for Lake County. Rodriguez though was thrown out trying to swipe 2nd.

Li-Jen Chu walked and then went to third on a wild pitch.He scored on a Logan Ice single to make this a 1-0 game, after six innings of play.

The Bulls had little trouble disposing of the Bats in this one.

 

Willie Adams went 3-5 with two doubles and he scored two runs and had 3 RBI

Jake Bauers went 2-4.

Patrick Leonard drove in two runs for the winners.

 

For the Bats Juan Perez had two hits and 1 RBI.

Seth Mejias-Brean also had two hits.

Tyler Goeddel had 1 RBI.

7-9 Akron RubberDucks 5(Cleveland) 7-7 Binghamton Rumble Ponies 2 (Mets)

 

Akron was able to keep things going in a positive way, with a 5-2 win against the Rumble Ponies tonight. The win runs the win streak to a season high five games.

 

Akron

Francisco Mejia hit in his 13th straight game. He had two hits on the night.

Dorssys Paulino had two hits and A RBI.

Eric Stamets went 0-3 but did have 2RBI. He is trying to recover from his demotion from triple A, where he struggled big time.

Greg Allen had 2 hits, A RBI and he was able to swipe two more bases, making him 8 for 8 so far this season.

The Whitecaps took leading 3-1 in the fifth was able to take advantage of an error by first baseman Emmanuel Tapia to score three big runs and put this game away.

Columbus Clippers(INDIANS) 8 Charlotte Knights(WHITE SOX) 1

Clippers(9-13) exploded for five first inning runs and never looked back as they won the night cap, of the double header over the Knights(10-11).

 

In the first inning the Clippers got a single from Yandy Diaz with one out.

Richie Shaffer homers (5) to make it a 2-0 game.

Erik Gonzalez singled after the Shaffer blast.

Ronny Rodriguez singled to out runners on the corners.

Chris Colabello homered (3)to make it a 5-0 game.

 

Charlotte Top of the 4th

Adam Engel triples (1) and scored on a Jason Bourgeois sac fly.

 

Columbus Bottom of the 4th

Brady Zimmer homered(3) and it was a 6-1 game.

 

Columbus bottom of the fifth

Erik Gonzalez homered (4) and this became a 7-1 game.

Bradley Zimmer doubles (7) to start things off.

Tyler Naquin singled on a ground ball to center fielder Adam Engel. Bradley Zimmer score to make it 8-1.

Clearwater Threshers(Phillies) 16-7 at St. Lucie Mets(Mets) 9-14

 

The little Mets took this one 6-5.

Trailing 3-2 after six, the Little Mets scored 2 in the seventh and two in the eighth and then held on to post the one run win.

 

For the Mets

Brandon Nimmo hit his first bomb of the season as did Wilmer Flores. Nimmo had two hits and one RBI. Flores had three hits and two RBI.

 

Jhoan Urena and Anthony Dimino had three hits each.

 

 

 

Clearwater

Drew Stankiewicz blasted his first home run and totaled three hits.

 

 

 

Wilson Garcia also went deep for the first time this season and he too totaled three hits.

 

 

 

Johnny Magliozzi 3-1 picked up the win but blew his third save of the season.

 

 

 

Jeff Singer 1-1 took the loss.

Dayton Dragons(Reds) 17-10 At Wisconsin Timber Rattlers(Brewers) 12-12

 

I was able to watch this one on Spectrum Sports Channel out of Wisconsin.

 

Dayton got three in the third, three in the sixth and one in the eighth to post the 7-0 win.

 

The Dragons pitchers gave up just four hits.

Wennington Romero (W, 3-0) went six and gave up three hits

Andy Cox (S, 1) went three to post the save, while giving up one hit.

 

John Sansone had 2 hits both doubles and drove in two.

Michael Beltre drove in two.

Tyler Stephenson and Luis Gonzalez each drove in one.

 

Nattino Diplan (L, 1-2) last only 4 2/3 of an inning and gave up seven hits and five earned runs.

We did not renew our Threshers season tickets this season. It's nice to see them doing well. Mrs. S and I will probably go to the Independence Day celebration, July 3rd or 4th, which ever day they have a home game.

The Bats went off for four runs in the fifth to take a 4-0 lead.

Beau Amaral singled to start things off.

Hernan Iribarren singles to put two on, with zero outs.

Zach Walters walks to load the bases, with just one out.

Jesse Winker walks with two outs and we had a 1-0 Bats lead.

Brandon Dixon doubles (6) to clear the bases and this was a 4-0 Bats lead.

 

Toledo made it 4-2 after six.

JaCoby Jones singled and then swipes 2nd.

James Loney walks. (Loney was released after this one by the Tigers)

Argenis Diaz singles on a sharp ground ball to center fielder Beau Amaral. JaCoby Jones scores. James Loney to 2nd, to make this a 4-1 game.

Jason Krizan singles on a ground ball to center fielder Beau Amaral. James Loney scored and we had a 4-2 game.

 

Toledo made it 5-4 after seven with three runs.

Alex Presley singled.

Efren Navarro walked to put two on with one out.

John Hicks homers (2) a three run shot to make this a 5-4 game.

 

The Bats tied it in the top of the ninth.

Hernan Iribarren doubles (2).

Rob Brantly gets a sac fly RBI and we were all tied.

 

Toledo wins it in the bottom of the tenth.

James Loney singled.
