March 28, 20179 yr My second favorite decade for music. Great music. Still, plenty of annoying numbers as well. What tops your list for "Nails on the Chalkboard" eighties tunes? "Don't Worry Be Happy"- Bobby McFerrin ... (Don't think so , this song worried me plenty and made me very unhappy). [video=youtube;d-diB65scQU]
March 28, 20179 yr Author I don't have an issue with this song and I like Mickey and Grace but Rolling Stone readers voted this the worst song of all time by a landslide. It may not be the best song ever but it's not even close to the worst, imo. Interestingly enough, Bernie Taupin was one of the co-writers of this tune.
March 28, 20179 yr Author "Safety Dance"- Men Without Hats The Men may have not had hats but their song made everyone else want to wear a hat and pull it down over their ears when this song came on.

Yep...this one definitely leads my list of 80's tunes that annoyed me.
March 29, 20179 yr Katrina & The Waves - Walking On Sunshine. Just horrific, nails on a chalkboard, awful.
March 29, 20179 yr If we click a "Like" on anyone's post does it mean that we like the song, or that we agree that it sucks? :idunno:
March 29, 20179 yr While I did eventually come to like some of George Michael's music, and mostly his slower numbers, when he came busting out onto the scene with Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" I just thought that I would puke. To this day I have never really warmed up to it as it still just cornballs me out.

Initially no, but stylistically yes during his solo "Faith" period I sorta had my hair like his and went with the leather jacket & jeans, shades, w/ leather driving gloves look. He's a year older than me and I admired his stardom, and at the time still had dreams of my own that I'd get the nerve to give it a go.
