April 21, 20179 yr "Coach" Gil Eisenmenger. Coach died earlier this week on Easter. He was a great coach and man. St.Henry's old high school court is named after him for all the work (30ish years as a coach) he put in. He was my 8th grade coach and had a knack for coaching and getting the best out of kids and shaping them into adults. Going to games, you had a white shirt and red tie on and better have a sock hat. One time after practice he told me and a couple others that I had to run 200 laps (not at the same time) around the gym. I had gone to one of the varsity games and while standing in the crowd I was chewing gum during the National Anthem. Another boy had on a hat. Every sporting event I go to and hear the Anthem I think of him and those 200 laps and why he made us run. I have no problem with it. His visitation is this evening and funeral Saturday morning.
April 21, 20179 yr Don Hardin. Played 3 summers for him in Morehead. Can't even scratch the surface of how influential he was in so many more ways than on the diamond.
April 21, 20179 yr Coach Mueller (HHS), his ability to get people to buy into the system and accomplish things they never thought capable. "The success of this team won't be determined at the end of this year, it will be determined based on the type of man, father, husband you become 20 years down the road" that was my favorite quote by him. It may seem a little weird but I feel like he was teaching us more than football out there.
