Round 1, Night Two at the Roy - 8th Region

Featured Replies

First game - Anderson County vs. Eminence

On paper, this is Anderson's game to lose, but since when did anyone win on paper?

Really looking forward to seeing this high-flying Eminence team that's averaged over 70 ppg this year.

I haven't seen the Bearcats since early in the season...hearing that they've really picked things up late....(?)

Second game - South Oldham vs Walton-Verona

South won the regular season game by 20+ points....but sometimes those kind of games help the loser more than the winner. Walton has had a great year - 26 wins - and so has South (25 wins). The Dragons will be the favorite.

How were the out of region refs for the first night? Allow some physicality or did they call it pretty tight?

Collins vs Oldham game they let a lot go around the rim. You had to finish thru contact. But both teams were in the bonus the entire 4th Qt. At the half the fouls were 10-2 with Collins having 10. But for the most part I thought they weren't bad. Beats what we have in the 8th for the most part.

I have not seen South Oldham play, but I know some in Walton would like to reach their school record win total of 28 set back in 1942.

I'm on my way up with the wife stopped in Frankfort for a bite to eat. Then heading on up.
