BAM Adebayo NOT on CBS top 60 NBA list

Featured Replies

Bam does not make top 60 CBS Sportline NBA prospect list.

Coach Cal not doing him any favors playing him as a post-up #5 man.

How exactly should he be playing him then?

FWIW, I just looked up draft express, nbadrat.net, and Gary Parish on cbssports and they had him going #21, #16, and #24 respectively...:idunno:

He sure as hell isn't a face up 5 man so what exactly would you like him to do?

Yeah, that didn't work out at all for Cousins, Davis, or Towns.

All of which have 2-3 inches on him. Bam will need to be more of a PPat type player in the NBA. He's not getting that exposure as is.

I agree he is a top 20 caliber talent, but his stock has slipped more than risen.

For a coach whose #1 aspiration is to make millionaires out of his players & improve their families lives, I see him not doing Bam any favors. IMO

Bam can't shoot. He has to play back to the basket. That's what he is.

Bam 6-10

Cousins 6-11

Davis 6-10

Towns 7-0

And the tiny details like they are 100 times more skilled than Bam.

There is no comparison to be made with them. They are all very different players than Bam. He will never be a 4 that's stretching the floor and that has nothing to do with Cal.

That has not been proven. He's knocked down a few 10-12 footers, but rarely takes them, having been told to "dunk everything".

Serious question....If Bam could make that shot with any type of regularity at all, do you really think they'd purposely hide that part of his game?

He's a 61% FT shooter.

I believe he's forced to play the 5, since there are no other legitimate post guys. (at least not to the standards over past years)

Cal got Josh freaking Harellson 70+ games in an NBA uniform. You have no leg to stand on with this.

Yes he did. As a face up player, not a back to the basket guy.

My point being, a 6-10 guy is not going to make it in the NBA as an old style center. Needs to expand his game. He cannot do so with no other post player help, or coaching that insists he dunks everything. Crazy thought . . how about an inside/out pass.
