No. You did not quote an article. You paraphrased something you read on a left wing website and then refused to provide a link. When you quote something, you should use these little things: "" or ''. Then, a reader can generally Google the quote and read the entire article for himself or herself.

On most issues, I consider myself a small-l libertarian. Notable exceptions are my beliefs that a strong military and secure borders are very important to maintain peace. I strongly support personal and economic liberty, with as little interference from the federal government as possible.

 

The government should only control personal behavior when it harms other people. The government should not engage in the sham of discouraging legal behavior through tax policy. Taxes on tobacco, alcohol, and tanning booths should be the same as taxes on every other legal product. Nor should the government be engaged in promoting harmful behavior, such as lotteries. Lotteries are taxes on stupidity and should only be operated by the private sector for profit.

 

As for every website being left wing to me, that is not true. There are many moderate and conservative websites. Most are to my left on most issues, but I don't consider everything to my left as "left-wing." Trump is pretty far to my left, but he is not a left winger.

 

Two individuals come to mind who seem to agree with me nearly 100 percent of the time. One is Mark Levin and the other is Dr. Thomas Sowell. I would even consider Dr. Sowell to be slightly to my right politically. If you want to know what I believe on any issue and cannot wait on my answer, you would be on pretty firm ground to assume that my position is outlined in one of their books.

Thomas Sowell would not waste his time doing somebody else's job either. If I refer to an article to support my position, then I will always provide a link if one is available online. It is not unreasonable to expect the same of others.

Do you have a subscription to the Washington Post, Clyde? If not, then that would explain your inability to simply provide links to some of the headlines that you post. If that is the case, then why not just admit it? Are you able to actually read all of the articles to which you refer or are the headlines just too juicy not to post?

I do not but that's irrelevant since it's not a WaPo story. They just linked to the actual story that takes THREE WORDS to find. Don't be lazy.

 

The President did tell Fox News that instead of the White House Correspondents Association deciding who gets one of the 49 chairs in the press room that he may take over that duty of deciding. Seems to line up with "promoting the agenda."
