What does John Hardin need to do to improve in 2017? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Two things will dominate John Hardin conversation in the offseason...

 

Offensive line play and the development of Anthony Witherspoon at QB. If Witherspoon doesn't (for whatever reason) play QB for John next year it's gonna spell trouble for the dogs.

That is very impressive company

John will fall off significantly next year. I hate to see it happen, but remember I said it on February 1st. The numbers have dropped big time in the school and the talent level isn't near what it was in years past. I hope they have a solid year, but I see a downward trend getting ready to occur. I am assuming they are still playing a tough out of district schedule. John Hardin very well could be 3A in the next alignment. It's hard to compete with 6A schools (out of district) with 3A numbers. My early guess is 5-5 next year.

I would be shocked if JH went 5-5 next season....but I will say the numbers are getting low and there is some attrition coming down the pipe. But JH is a military transit school for the most part....they will always get 10-15 transfers from out of the area every year. They are again loaded with skill athletes next season, line play and Witherspoon will determine they're success next season

I heard that Witherspoon is done with football and wont play next year.

I doubt that HCP. It could be true, but he is an average basketball player. I don't think he has a college future in round ball. I'm not saying he does in football either. I just think he is a better football player. He has more upside in football. He struggles shooting the times I've seen him play. He battles hard in bball and rebounds the ball well.

100% Witherspoon is planning on playing football next year. Kid is an unbelievable talent, things just have not broken his way to this point. He is working his butt off in the weight room getting ready for next season. IF he can get the wing t down at QB he will have a phenomenal season.
