George Rogers Clark 49 Garrard County 27

Featured Replies

It was close until the end when GRC pulled away.

Just got in from the game. It started off with a fumble and GRC recovered and ran it in for a TD...9 seconds had gone off the clock. Garrard Co just did not give up. They took it to the air and moved the chains when they had to.

Hats off to GRC Clint Green...he was a running machine tonight. Dougie Mason and Tristian Jones also had some great carries.

Huge crowd there tonight.. With the huge upset of Montgomery Co over Madison Central. The Cards better really practice hard for a battle with the Indians on their home turf next week.

Just reported on Friday night flights that Clint Green of GRC had 6 TD"S tonight. Without Robell Rogers and Travis Connor tonight Clint really stepped up and took control.

And Clint along with his team will be glad to see Roger's and Conners, next week when they take on MC, with that big upset of M Central.

hats off to Garrard County. They must have played their hearts out. I never would have thought they would have put 27 points on GRC. Sounds like a great effort.

Clint did what everyone knew he could do if he just got the ball. This kid is exsplosive if given the oppertunity. Great game Clint.

Greene, set a new record at GRC, he carrie the ball 15 times for 273 yards and 6 TDs GRC, Offensive line did a great job. :fight: blocking.

Great article and picture on the game last night from the Winchester Sun.

George Rogers Clark High School survived a scare in its home opener and celebrated homecoming on Friday night with a 49-27 win over Garrard County. Clint Greene helped the Cardinals avoid a potential upset, rushing for a school-record 273 yards and six touchdowns.

I think conner and roger will be hungry when they come back so look for the cards to go on a role baby! But on the other side if the cards was playing a good team like central they would have been beaten because they didnt come out exposive at all until the end. The secondary need some super work but if our coaches do their job they'll get it together. Go cards let's get this party started ! :dancingpa

There is no dought that the coaches will do their part....it is up to the players to play as a team, take care of bussiness and bring home the win.:thumb:

Way to go, Cards!!!:dancingpa

Greene was awesome! Hope he gets to carry the ball more now. Always has had the talent but needed the opportunity. GRC's secondary is still suspect. Don't get me wrong, they seem to always be in on the pass play but they're so short they're usually out-jumped for the ball. GRC could have and should have played better. There was no comparison between the 2 teams. Athletically GRC was heads and shoulders above Garrard Co. This game was much closer than the final score. I love my Cards but I'm still skeptical about how good they really are at this point. All the potential in the world , if they work hard and bring it out on the field.
