Cameron posted on his facebook page that he will continue his football career playing for the EKU Colonels.

Belfry's star RB/DB Camron Catron has chose to play his college football at Eastern Kentucky University next season. Catron is a one of them kids that plays with a passion and wears his heart on his sleeve. With Catron the Colonels are getting a steal. A lot of colleges over looked Catron because of his height, but he makes up for that with the intensity he plays the game with. The folks in Richmond are gonna love watching Cameron play.

Catron had 6 interceptions, 1 run back ...for touchdown, 54 tackles 2 fumble recoveries 1 run back for touchdown, he had 702 rushing yards 9 rushing touchdowns, 4 receiving touchdowns 176 receiving yards, and 3 punt returns for touchdowns.19 total touchdowns. Catron is also a standout on the hardwood, he is averaging 10pts, 5reb, 5ast, and 2 steals a game.

Among a roster of really good football players, and a handful of D1 talent, Cameron was the MVP for Belfry in my opinion.

 

If you have a Cameron Catron on your roster, you are a better football team for it. I really hate to see this kid graduate because he is just so much fun to watch. He is a "Charlie Hustle" on the gridiron, always working to make things happen. I hope he flourishes as a Colonel.

I'm hearing that Cameron is in very dire straights after being shot near UK's campus early this morning. It certainly sounds like he could use some positive thoughts/prayers, to say the least.
