January 24, 20179 yr Author If the merger fails, Humana is entitled to $1 billion from Aetna per the sale agreement. I doubt all that gets paid but wowsa.
January 24, 20179 yr Just some really dirty play going on here. Sticking it to the consumer anyway possible. Aetna pulled out of the exchange claiming they weren't profitable which was a lie. You have to believe they block the Anthem-Cigna merger as well.

February 14, 20179 yr Author News out this morning that they're not appealing and the merger is officially off. Having a conference call with investors this morning. They can be upset all they want, but this is good for consumers. Time to rehire some of those collaterals, Humana.
February 14, 20179 yr As far as Rx's go Humana is the devil for reimbursement, so bad I opted out of taking their most popular Medicare part D plan this year . They underpay on somewhere between 10-20% of all rx claims . Was putting small ky ind pharmacies in danger .
