Good game, fun to watch these 2 teams go at it....again. The group of seniors on both teams have had some good battles over the years and I'm a little sad that their High School careers are coming to a end.

Mason had a nine point lead with under four minutes and turnovers and foul shots did the Lady Royals. We must be better in late game situations. Got Montgomery on Monday and then go through the tenth regional gaulet. Clark, Campbell and Scott the next three games.

Mason County seemed lost in the final couple of minutes. No one seemed to want the ball in their hands at the end of the game. Duvall for Bullitt East had no problem taking control at crunch time for her team. That was the difference in the game.

I was sitting on the end with several college coaches and scouts. They all said the same thing. If this game is close in the 4th quarter Bullitt East will win and Duvall will beat Mason by herself. Not a shot at Mason County, but props to Lindsey Duvall for being a great player.

This seems to be far too common in Mason County games. There isn't a sense of game plan at all. A lot of individual play with no direction or cohesion. They never seem to have the right answer to better, or just as good, teams than them. Which will not be good come tournament time.

My observation in this game was Mason County played a very disciplined game until the middle of the fourth quarter. They lost focus. No one on Mason County wanted the ball in their hands at the end of the game. That was pretty apparent.

They are a solid team that should contend for a regional title, but need to learn to finish these games out.
