Northern Kentucky 83 Cleveland State 75

Completely agree on Tate. I was speaking more of who's available right now.

Speaking of Tate, any word on when he's set to return?

Probably another month.

Well it was Campbell County resident day at NKU with those residents getting in for $5 (what a deal) so it was only fitting that a Campbell Co resident went off for 30 points in the first half.

Cleveland State did hang around although they never led in this game. NKU just could not extend the lead beyond the 10-13 point range and Cleveland State got within 6 a couple of times. Good win for NKU though.

Halftime mascot game was a hoot and Mr. Redlegs scored the only basket. Lots of fouling and I think a couple of mascots are in concussion protocol now. The Duncan Doughnut can play on my team anytime.

Very impressed with NKU at this point in the season. They play very solid, straight up, half court man-to-man D. The 1-3-1 is very effective. Full court pressure rarely gets turnovers, but it generally takes the other team 8-9 seconds to get in their sets. The motion offense is run effectively, and they either get you on the kick-out 3 or a decent shot at the rim. One night McDonald is the star; next night it's Murray. One night it's Williams; next night it's Holland; next night it's Faulkner. Pick your poison. Lots of interchangeable parts. And oh so young.

The (near?) future is very bright. justsayin

Did you notice Holland was out the last 8 minutes of the game. Mason was in in his place.

I think Holland's knees are bothering him a little. This could have been part of the reason.
