Lexington Catholic hosts the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic which starts tomorrow afternoon at 12 PM. It features 3 of the state's top 10 teams in # 8 Cooper, # 9 Dunbar and the host #10 Lexington Catholic. 21 teams are in this year's tournament, 18 from the state of Kentucky, 2 from Georgia(North Gwinnett and Fayette County) and 1 from California(Marina HS). 5 days of fun begins tomorrow.

1:30 PM - Russellville vs. Sheldon Clark

 

3:00 PM - Sayre vs. Perry County Central

 

4:30 PM - Cooper vs. West Jessamine

 

6:00 PM - Lafayette vs. Manual

 

7:30 PM - Lexington Catholic vs. Muhlenberg County

 

8:30 PM - Marina CA vs. Breathitt County

 

9:00 PM - Paris vs. North Gwinnett

It seems like PrepSpin has traditionally shown these games but not sure about this year.

Great question? How would something like that get funded? Tournament sponsorships? Traveling teams? Combo?

The field used to have power teams with big time recruits when Pitino was at U.K. and Haney was at Catholic. When Tubby came the names dwindled and when Haney left it was all but over. Still a great event, though.
