SnottieDrippen Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Final from Williamstown. Stats coming, but first things first, congratulations to SR. Jon Jump on reaching the 1,000 point club!
Soapy Water Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Congratulations to Mr. Jump and to Williamstown. They have put a good run of games together. Holding a Nicholas County team in check that had other than against Clark County been able to consistently score points this season. Again congrats!
SnottieDrippen Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 The Demons were paced by Jon Jump's game-high 18, including the big one on a 3 in the 3rd period. Brennan Stanley and Winzee Fox scored 10 each, with Fox also recording 11 rebounds. For the second time in two weeks, all but one in uniform scored for the Orange and Black. Nicholas Co. was led in scoring by Sam Hamilton's 10, but WHS' defensive pressure was the story, holding the duo of Spencer Morris and Trent Letcher, who average 16 & 15 respectively, to a combined 10 points. As has been the case in Williamstown's previous two games, when given space on the perimeter, they shot the ball tremendously. Beechwood, presumably, will not be so liberal with the good looks tomorrow afternoon. Honest-to-goodness, completely unrelated to the last paragraph, I think I'm starting to feel a fever coming on around my lunch break tomorrow.
Bow88 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Congrats Williamstown, nice team and way to shoot it at a high percentage ... Also congrats to Jon jump on reaching 1000 points ... Bluejackets go home and regroup and remember you are only as good as your NEXT game ....
Mustang Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Williamstown is developing a cult following (or maybe just a cult of one) after knocking off Highlands bigtime and taking down highly regarded Lloyd. The win over Nicholas County is a little icing on the cake. I am interested in seeing how they do with Beechwood. IF they can beat the Red and White Tigers, and their past performances says they can, that will be another large feather in their caps.
