Posey played well! Lot's of dimes. Finfrock was just to strong. Birds opened up with a 23-6 first quarter and St Henry tied it back in the 3rd and HHS had a great 4th quarter pushed it back up. I have been tough on guard play today it was stellar.

Posey has the ability to get to the rim when he wants the key is getting other guys open to spot up for kickouts and drops near the rim.

I understand a former Bird b-baller had a brief talk with him last night after the game and based upon what I am reading here it appears to have worked. Kid has the skills without question. Just needs to let game come to him and not force it and good things will happen. Mistakes will happen when you have the ball in your hand as much as he does, but when they occur, you have to forget about it and move on to the next play.

 

Finfrock is a load in the paint and if I am coaching, that big dog gets fed the rock almost every time down the floor.

Congratulations to Highlands on the win. The Bluebirds came out on fire in the first quarter and put the Crusaders in a big hole 23-6. St Henry competed better in the second and trailed 34-22 at half. Crusaders played a really good third quarter and closed the gap to 41-40. All Bluebirds in the 4th to make the final 65-49.
