Mercer County 49 Garrard County 0

With three kids that fast, no one should even come close to them, literally. I seriouslly doubt any team in the state has 3 sub-4.4 guys on one team. That includes UK, U of L, and any high school team as well. I don't doubt they are fast kids and great players, I just question those times.

Times are very subjective. They probably aren't THAT fast, but they are exceptionally fast high school running backs.

On top of the backs they have probably one of the best run coaches in the game. Marty Jaggers will run that wishbone/jumbo set til it goes outta style.:thumb:

Well you need to question the folks at the Centre combine. actually I heard corey ran a 4.29 but, for some reason they didn't allow it.

No, they really are that fast I believe. Those kids are quicker then lighting I believe. HA

I haven't seen the times myself. Just going by info. But, if I had to guess then I would say that Corey (#2) is 4.31 no doubt.

I don't know for sure if that was the problem tonight. That will sure get you beat! But, I think it had somthing to do with it I believe. I expect them to have a little fire next friday.

May have not affected them tonight. But if they are not careful it will late in the season.;)

Marty Jaggers does a wonderful job. Another huge advantage Mercer County has in eleven (11) coaches on staff. That's a tremendous number for a Class 2A school (I'm not talking about the Trinity's and St. X's of the world), which allows for much more individual instruction and practice.

Oh, I know. I've seen them! They can fly. I just take all 40-times with a grain of salt. Heck, there's reason to question times at the college level. If you'll notice, they rarely discuss 40-times at the professional level.

I think Mr. Jaggers will fix this. I think it was just really tough for them to get up for Garrard. No disrespect but Garrard has been struggling and I think Mercer didn't have that killer instict tonight. You could see it in the first series.

It's strange when they break one they usually end up WAY ahead of everybody else.

I've been to the Centre combine and local coaches were running the stopwatches. The accuracy of that combine is a still out.

4.29 are you serious? That is faster than 99.9% of NFL players.

No wonder Mercer is blowing everyone out, 3 guys that are that fast are legit D-1 players by those times. The team I follow had two guys last year who ran a 4.40 and a 4.44, both are getting lots of playing time at UK and Western KY as true freshman right now. Those times are from the Nike Combine at the University of Georgia as well.

Well this is where a guy by the name of craig yeast was born and raised. Alot of fast backs have grown up here.

Well, I think the fastest Garrard player rans a "2-day forty" so tonight wasn't the best measuring stick! I don't mean to cause an uproar or argument. Trust me, they can run. They are excellent backs. And at the Class 2A level in Kentucky high school football, the difference between 4.3 and 4.6 really doesn't matter. They're faster than most everyone else.

I was talking about so far this season with the way they have ended runs. Sorry about the confusion. Bottom line is their aren't many teams with that speed in the backfield.

But again, if they don't have that 'killer instinct' late in the season. They might find themselves back home in ol' Fort Harrod a little early;)
