I did some research on that lol, apparently the school is a private school founded by John Curtis Sr, the coaches father. All of his siblings also work at the school.

A quick glance back at the book and I found a page where he states he was 26 years old in 1976, his second year at Pburg

That would make him 66 this season, depending on his birthday.

Wallace will never touch the record unless he is still going at 100

 

I don't know exactly how old Coach Wallace is but he'll finish this season with 290 wins at a school they realistically wins at least 13 wins a season. So yes, he has a legitimate shot albeit a long shot.
