November 20, 20169 yr Big win for the Sooners on the road. If Washington doesn't win their conference, I could see Oklahoma making the playoff if they win next week.
November 20, 20169 yr Author That's dropping the hammer on a pretty good team on the road. I agree, next week's game should be a really good one. If they beat Oklahoma State and with how they beat West Virginia tonight, another Washington loss of any kind probably puts them right in.
November 20, 20169 yr Let's say Washington loses. OSU knocks off Michigan and Wisconsin wins the Big 10. That final spot would be between 2 loss Champ Oklahoma, 2 loss Champ Wisconsin, and presumably 2 loss Champ Colorado. Those are some big ifs. But if that plays out who gets that final spot?

I would be between Oklahoma and Wisconsin with the edge to Oklahoma. Oklahoma is undefeated in conference play if they win next week.
November 20, 20169 yr Author With the way this season is unfolding, I believe that the eight team playoff won't be far off.
November 20, 20169 yr I would be between Oklahoma and Wisconsin with the edge to Oklahoma. Oklahoma is undefeated in conference play if they win next week. The 2 best teams that each team played they lost to so it would be tough. Wisconsin did look better against Ohio State than Oklahoma did. So I think they would lean Wisconsin.

After they got steamrolled by Clemson last year, I'm not sure how they would feel about them sliding in there again. It will be a tough call. Wisconsin with a top 3 defense, but can't score, or Oklahoma with a top 3 offense but can't stop anyone.
