So you don't get points for beating teams with high SOS or by how much you beat them. Nobody knows the formula for the power ratings.

They must of moved up cause before the NH game, OC was favored to lose.

 

Yeah, the rankings change from week to week when you add in those results. Thats what they do. Add stuff up, divide by games played. List a ranking.

First, each computer model has a different formula. Some of them are known and some are not. In Calpreps case it is on the website. calpreps.com Freeman Ratings

This is fun for us fans but has little to do with anything on the field.

 

I imagine the players and coaches have more important things to worry about and computer rankings are insignificant to them.
