malachicrunch Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I am guessing Bob Arnzen and Dave Cowens need to be on this 5. 1. Beal 2. Draud 3. Jeff Stowers 4. Bob Arnzen 5. Dave Cowens
Q man Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 For the Hazard Bulldogs it would be: Carl Wallace point guard 1986 John Hagans 2 Guard 1972 Jim Rose 3 Guard 1966 Dickie Alexander Power Forward 1980 Chester Rose Center 1965
4pointplay Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I am guessing Bob Arnzen and Dave Cowens need to be on this 5. 1. Beal 2. Draud 3. Jeff Stowers 4. Bob Arnzen 5. Dave Cowens Going to go back a little further.... Turner from Dixie went on to play at U of L and Tom Thacker from Covington Grant. Add those to Beal, Schloemer and Draud

However I will take Chris Hayes -94 SF- Doug Schlomer-1978 PF John Wimzie-1978 C- Jack Jennings-88 Chris was the best athlete to ever come to Holmes in my mind before he got hurt but I think I would have to put Anthony Hughes in my starting 5 even though Hughes was a true point guard. And if you bring up Chris you could even bring up Feodi Beal (spelling?) Dicky's nephew. I heard he was better then Dicky but we never got to see.

I am sure there are a handfull of guys you could pick off the playground parks down in Covington that never saw the floor and they could be in the mix over the past 30 yrs.....

Like we used to say in the hallway at school, death , taxes, and Chris Hayes getting you 20. His injusry was very unfortunate, and he average 18 his senior year dragging one leg the whole time.

That's what everyone who saw him play said. He played I think up until his 10th grade year. So your right we will never know and it's a shame we didnt get the chance.
