Clyde Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Excerpt from new Favre book 'Gunslinger' Excerpt: No Love Lost
DragonFire Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Fantastic read. Thank you for posting. Ultimately, almost despite themselves in that situation, it all (mostly) worked out. Favre proved he still had it in winning 18 of his final 22 games in Green Bay, and doing well enough in New York and Minnesota. Rodgers eventually got the role he coveted and is still one of the best quarterbacks in the game. I have never really sought it, but I wonder all told, how what happened between those two compares to Montana and Young.
ggclfan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Great read. I don't blame Favre for not being best friends with the guy trying to take his job. He does seem to be a jerk though for the way he treated Rodgers and many others. It will be interesting to see how Rodgers treats his heir apparent when that times comes.
Hellbird Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great article. It was the perfect storm. Oil and water. You have Farve who was a egotistical pos who could do whatever he wanted with his own set of rules and on the other side you had an egotistical rookie who didn't know how to respect those who went before him. Just 2 players who didn't respect anything about the other.
