The rematch Saturday at 7:30. NDA should go into the match with some confidence having played HHS tough with only 10 players for the better part of the game.

Birds looked a little flat starting out on Weds. (I left before end of 1st half to go to volleyball district final)

Boone got the benefit of a questionable call and capitalized.

 

They came out hard last night and didn't let up.

Boone outplayed the Bluebirds on Wed night. Being up 1-0 had nothing to do with questionable call and everything to do with the fact that Boone played well and is a good team too. There are questionable calls made in any given game. That is NOT why Boone was winning. The score could easily have been 2-0 going into last nights game and again that is due to good play and not questionable calls. Give credit where credit is due. Had the game played out Wed night, I believe we could be looking at quite a different final. I believe Mother Nature was the real winner here.

I love write ups that make decisions about rules they don't understand. I realize the article is written with the bias of a Ft Thomas fan but seriously, don't use terms to describe a play situation if you don't know what you are talking about. Specifically referring to the "passback".

Highlands need to accept the fact that other teams can actually score a goal. Boone has some very skilled players that play on high level club teams. Great season Boone and good luck to NDA and Highlands.

Boone came out to play on Wednesday no doubt. The Birds didn't. Guessing they were already thinking about Saturday. Not a good thing for anyone to do this time of year.

While many team's season was over, Boone's season was still going for a reason.

But, the goal WAS the direct result of that questionable call. So YES, being up 1-0 had everything to do with it.

I didn't say the Rebels got lucky, or that they COULDN'T score otherwise.

The Rebels capitalized on the opportunity. Good teams do that!

Was anyone without a dog in the fight at the game on Wednesday night? I mean a ball dropped to the keeper and a deflection to the keeper shouldn't be hard to discern to a fan with no rooting interest. Was it played negatively or wasn't it? How can this be so hard?

It shouldn't but that isn't the only factor in the call either. Talk to a truly experienced referee about that particular violation and they will talk your ear off. I stopped listening about 20 min into the explanation last time I took the youth ref class.

See that's the thing I always found amusing about soccer. The fans love to complain about calls and the like but they rarely back up their accusations with video evidence.
