That indirect kick/goal was a very strange play. Can't not think of a reason why the referee does not give a yellow card to the keeper, but it's a huge favor to Boone Co because it does not stop play, allowing their players to very wisely take the restart very quickly, brilliant on their part.

Wow, I got my first dislike on a comment for that last one. Not the one I would have thought would do it.

I didn't realize I did that. Wasn't intentional. Must have hit it while scrolling. My bad.

No big deal, just surprised me.

No card since she didn't actually touch the ball.

So, a goalie/ wall is allowed to charge a free kick before the ball is put in play? If it's a direct free kick the wall can't go inside the 10 yds marked off. Correct? I would think indirect would be the same. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he kept the card in his pocket so HHS didn't have time to reset their wall. By far one of the craziest things I have ever seen in a soccer game.

Very impressed with the composure from the Boone ladies on that kick. Most players would have started yelling at the official after an illegal play by the GK. They briefly plead their case, moved on and took advantage. No idea if the score will hold up, but plays like that are often the difference between winning and losing in tournaments.

The result of the play is exactly why he doesn't blow the whistle and give the card. If she touches the ball or stop the attacking team from kicking the ball then a card.

More importantly was it actually a pass back or just a deflection. Keeper plays at a high level in club so I would think she knows the difference.

That video I would like to see.

I didn't see her or the coach arguing the refs call. May have been a makeup call for the handball in the box by the highlands defender a couple min earlier. Of course it could have been the correct call too.

Shouldn't be in a position to let a stupid call decide a regional game.

Yikes!!

Is there any word on what time they will play, I am assuming it will be tonight?

530 game will resume from yesterday

630 NCC vs ND

There are always "bad calls", "no calls" and perceived makeup calls and it always evens out. The game is won or lost by the players, not the refs. I never let my team blame a ref for us losing a game. At the end of the day, if one of these so-called bad calls makes a difference, then we didn't do enough to win the game outright and need to do more next time.
