Based off the Ryle CovCath game determines the top spot still. Covcath wins they are obviously 1, Highlands 2, Ryle 3. If Ryle beats CovCath they based off the tiebreaker over CovCath would be the mythical freshman champ, with CovCath second and Highlands third.

 

I hear ya and I agree...but unless Cov Cath completely doesn't show up like we did against Cooper they win 28-7 IMO. Cov Cath's line is going to be major problem for Ryle. Anything can happen...It is frosh football after all. Is the game at Ryle or Cov Cath?

I agree on CovCath as I think they are the best freshman team. And just as you seem to think the only reason why Highlands lost to Cooper is that they didn't show up. I tend to think the same as to why the CovCath Highlands game was close. I don't think CovCath played well that day at all and still won. If they play like they can I feel like Covcath wins more comfortably against Highlands. So I do agree that I think CovCath will win because I think they are the best this year, and there front 7 is dang good.

You can't educationally make that statement when both teams struggled with numerous turnovers in a complete downpour at Cov Cath's home field and Cov Cath won by a botched extra point. Especially when HHS is more of a passing team. That makes zero sense. I'm not saying HHS is better, I guess I'm just saying that statement has zero validity to it.

Only one offensive TD, and gave up over 200 yards rushing that day. So it wasn't a game that Highlands was turnover prone, they simply got beat. You are only adding validity to my statement by saying Cooper played well and ran for over 200 yards, etc. That game the HHS coaches decided to switch some key positions around which included the QB and it was a disaster. It had the team completely off track until the new QB worked out the kinks and the team got used to his style and they got the right kids in the right positions. No excuses, HHS lost that game but it was nothing like the Cov Cath game.

You Highlands people are funny. How you all can say one thing, but then get all bent out of shape when someone says the same thing back to Highlands. Then you make a list of excuses for why Highlands lost to Cooper, but then at the end say not making excuses lol.

 

My point is your statement basically implying if Highlands shows up they wouldn't lose to Cooper on most days. However I'm stating that if you believe that, you also have to accept the same can be said in the CovCath Highlands game that maybe CovCath wins pretty comfortably on most days and not barely like they did that day. If you want to say there is zero validity in me saying CovCath would win by a wider margin on most days, that is fine. However you then also have to accept the fact that there is zero validity in basically implying that if Highlands shows up they would beat Cooper on most days. There is zero proof that would happen either. Cooper could very well end up winning again. Put it this way any time a team loses, no team will feel like they played their best. When in reality maybe a team didn't play their best because the other team didn't allow them to play their best.

 

I'm basically pointing out how dumb it is to make excuses or put other teams performances down by comments like you had saying Highlands simply didn't show up when they lost to Cooper. It is very simple every single team that loses or barely wins could make excuses for that result. That is why if you are going to make a comment like that, you have to accept the same thing can be said back. I bet you CovCath fans do feel they would win by a bigger margin if they played again. I bet Ryle feels that if they played Highlands again that they would win. . I am sure on most days they feel like they would score more, so maybe their offense just didn't show up yesterday, and it was not that Highlands defense played very good and made the plays. However I would be willing to bet you would say it was more of the Highlands defense playing good, than Ryle's offense not showing up yesterday.

I find this should be/ could be talk funny too. Maybe coaches should've figured out positions earlier on in game/week then in the Cooper game if that was an issue then.
