I guess that it's all relative. Lee Co strung together 4 consecutive wins with an average margin of over 17 points per game in the All A. That was as 'dominating' as anything in the 14th last year. The only team that really dominated Lee Co last year was Bishop Brossart.

 

JBS 'dominated' Piarst, Riverside and the David school several times in a convincing fsshion.

I would say Hazard's 4th quarter in the district tournament vs. Perry Central was pretty dominant. Down 11 with only 6 minutes on the clock and then win by 8. That was a pretty dominating performance. I think this is what this thread is about. No one really cares what JBS did or what Lee did. That is not what this thread is about. Start another thread if you want to debate who did what over the summer or who beat who last year after such and such got beat out.

I don't think anyone ever said that. In fact, and I am a Buckhorn person, Hazard turned in one of the best performances of the season in the week following the All A when they solidly beat Buckhorn. That may have been the game that really got the 'Dawgs" on track because Hicks was held to only 6 or 7 points, but the rest of the team showed some confidence and really kicked it up a notch.

 

Although, I do stand by the fact that Buckhorn played Lee as well as anyone else would have on the night of the All A finals. Lee was really on a roll, at that point and anyone would have had to play at a different level to beat them during that All A run.

This was Leslie Co. playing Lee Co. in the regional tournament 2006. Didn't know this was just about Hazard. Pretty dominating at Rupp too. Madison by 40.

No one said it was all about Hazard. No one mentioned Leslie County. It was just mentioned that no one wanted to hear the back and forth between fans over things not related to this the topic. It was about dominating performances in the region last year. Cody Gilbert had a dominating performance vs. Hazard in the All A regional which allowed Wolfe to win that game. Chuckie O'steen had a dominating performance in the 2nd half vs. JBS which allowed Hazard to beat them in the semi's of the region. The point guard from Buckhorn, can't recall his name, had a dominating performance vs. PCC last year which almost allowed them to upset the Dores' on their home floor. I think these are the types of the things the topic was addressing and there were many more. It just seems that the same old people get on here and argue the same old things no matter what the subject matter. Stick to the point. And one last side note, Hazard did play bad in the Sweet 16 to a very good 11th Region champion and when you put those two things together, bad performance vs. a really good team, it can make for a very ugly game which isn't the first time it has happened in the Sweet 16 and won't be the last. I will say this, there were probably 16 other teams in the region that would have liked to have ended their season in that fashion vs. any other way, especially if those teams in that other 16 would have been so highly rated at the beginning of the season and during the season only to come up short of reaching any of their goals. The Hazard kids, on the other hand, weren't ranked that high in the beginning or during the season and battled all sorts of off the court problems to live a dream of playing in the state tournament that most former players still only dream about. And the excitement that was brought to our community for that week totally will outlast the disappointment of that or any 40 point loss. Keep dreamin'

The guard's name for Buckhorn was Kevin Davidson. I think he had close to 30 points hitting some big three pointers.

 

Cody Gilbert had a dominating performance against Buckhorn in a losing effort in the all a scoring 40 points. In the last 5 or 6 minutes of the game he was unstoppable pulling from way out. It was remarkable to watch.

How about the Estill County vs. Jackson City game where Estill scored 31 in the 4th quarter to win by 5. Did anyone see that game?
