The only two Top 10 teams playing each other this week are #5 Boyle County and #9 Gerrard County, what do we expect in this matchup? Are any other teams in danger of being upset? What will the Top 10 look like next week? Who could move up? Who could move down? What teams are waiting to get in?

If they come within 35 points of Corbin in a couple weeks I'll be shocked.

It's going to be such a big game for Casey, possibly the biggest in school history, that I can see this going to each extreme.

 

Either I think Corbin destroys them by 35+

 

Or I think Corbin totally overlooks them and cannot match their intensity and Casey takes it down to the wire.

 

Corbin has had a tendency to play down or up to their competition and they also have this mindset of trying to get validation and revenge. With Knox Central looming to end the regular season and knowing how bad Corbin beat Casey last year I could see the Hounds give the proper lip service to Casey but not exactly follow through with razor focus.

 

I lean more toward the lopsided score... but stranger things have happened and that Casey County community is going to be amped up for that home game.

I noticed that Western Hills is not in the top 10 and with a 5-1 record. I thought that they may have been ranked. But we will see what they really have this Friday when they play Lexington Catholic. Don't know if I would have had them in the top 10 but was just wondering.

Western Hills is in that 11-15 range and has everyone's attention

 

The victory over East Jessamine is a good win, but the 41-0 loss to Madison Southern (who #9 Garrard defeated) has to be noticed as well.Most years beating Frankfort and Franklin County would hold more water but both seem to be down a good bit this year.
