September 28, 20169 yr I think so much of it goes into what you are vacuuming up, and how the vacuumee uses the vacuum. My ex wife was incredibly hard on vacuums. Sucking up all kinds of things that she should not have, bouncy balls, legos, coins, socks, constantly running over the cords, etc, as well as having dogs that shed constantly make it tough for a vacuum to survive. I tried all kinds, including ones that cost over $750.00 Got tired of either buying, fixing, or taking the vacuum to get fixed. So, pulled all the carpet up and went back to the hardwood floors! Now the cheapest vacuum out there works for the few things that one is needed for. Brooms, dusters and mops on the other hand....
