Final.

Casey was up 49-21 with 6 minutes or so in the 3rd. Lincoln County scored a touchdown, got an onside which led to another touchdown, and the momentum was changed. When Lincoln County cut the lead 49-42 the teams traded out a few possessions.

Now, Casey County was facing a punt on the Lincoln County's 37 yard line. The punt was short and it stop around the 25 yard line when a Lincoln County player came out of nowhere taking it to the end zone untouched. Fortunately for Casey County the Patriots were called for a penalty bringing the ball back close to the 50. Lincoln County later threw a interception on the possession which led to the win for the Rebels. Awesome game!

I see you Casey County!!!!!

I'm hearing this is Casey County's first ever win against Lincoln County.

True. This was a bellwether game for both teams but for different reasons.

First win ever against Lincoln, first ever win against a 5A or higher team.

Breece Hayes set a school record for passing yards (319) and TDs (5) in a game. He's now 47-for-58 for 719 yards with 10 TDs, 0 INTs this season.

Pretty great start for Stonebraker at Casey.

Casey County used to be a run, run, run type of team. Having a quarterback like Breece has changed everything. When you can mix things up it gives you so much more opportunities. I like what Stonebreaker is doing!
