Ned Beatty - two scenes that earily similar

Featured Replies

I always remember Beatty's scene in the 2007 movie 'Shooter' where he lays it out on the mountain top.

But I forgot about this scene in 'Network' that was 31 years earlier in 1976.

Given the similarities of the scenes maybe the native Kentuckian and Transy grad is on to something.

Network (1976):

  • Author

Shooter (2007):

One bad word in this non-bleeped scene.

And lets keep current politics out of it.

Sidney Lumet and Paddy Chayefsky's vision of television's future is pure genius. A masterpiece.

When I think Ned Beatty, I cannot help but think Deliverance.

Ditto. 1st thing that pops in my mind.

When I think Ned Beatty, I cannot help but think Deliverance.

When I saw the thread I thought surely he didn't make the mistake of doing that in a second movie.
