cols Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 MD 35-14 they are the real deal. Went toe to toe with Reitz in scrimmage game last week.
bleedblue1032 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Would love to see the Aces come out strong but I think Mater Dei will be too tough 35-7 Mater Dei
devils58 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Rambo! You gotta add a poll, lol. Most folks think by name, Mater Dei rolls in this game. What people don't realize is that Mater Dei lost a ton of last year's team, but do return all state QB Kurtis Wilderman. Mater Dei and Reitz scrimmage every year, and by a lot of accounts, the fans on the west side of Evansville are getting restless with Reitz coach Andy Hape. The only hesistation I have in picking OCath for the upset is the lack of varsity experience in key positions, most importantly, quarterback. The Aces are EXTREMELY talented at all the skill positions. However, there is a youth movement on Parrish Ave and it may take time to come to fruition. I want to pick OCath in this game, but my mind is telling me Mater Dei and Wilderman will be too much. Awww heck, I'm going with the Aces to hold it down for the 270! zoneblitz2 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I'm looking forward to this one... OC lost a lot of snaps at the skill positions. It will be interesting to see how the next batch of kids compete against a team with the rich tradition like Mater Dei. I don't think Mater Dei has lost a regular season game in almost 3 years and is ranked #2 in 2A in Indiana with a Mr. Football candidate at QB. If OC can come out on top of this one it should be a huge confidence booster for the young kids. Mater Dei is definitely the favorite in this one but I can't pick against OC or pick an out of state team for that matter... OC 24 Mater Dei 14

OC 24 Mater Dei 14 Don't pick vs out state team that means you have to pick Henderson to beat Reitz! lol. Henderson going to lose by 35 or 42 just getting a laugh. Good luck vs MD they are really good and looked really good Friday night vs Reitz.
Irish Cat Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 I think Mater Dei wins rather easily tonight.
