This would probably be a good game. Can someone tell me how many seniors each team has? Obviously both teams will be losing the best players (Clark and Grizzle). It would be interesting to see this game, you would have to give the edge to Russell.

Seriously guys, what's the point in this thread other than to create or perpetuate bad blood between Russell & Raceland?? I know that probably isn't the intent & we can speculate all we want but, for whatever reason, it seems to always go to this...Let's just wait & see what happens with the schedules & then we can discuss it...

Raceland would lose approx. 13 Seniors. Last years team graduated 15. They have several Soph. & Jr. that are starters and key players on this years team. Their Soph. class have some athletes that are very capable of becoming good football players.

... Wouldn't that be the equivelant of Russell losing to Boyd Co. last year? I may be wrong but I believe that Boyd was #3 or maybe #2 in that AAA district. Seems to be about the same to me. ...

Therefore, the Russell loss to Boyd seems worse than the Raceland loss to EC. But that has no bearing on a Russell vs. Raceland match-up. Raceland is fully capable of playing a good football game.

Thank you Greybeard, :thumb: That would seem to be worse now wouldn't it:confused: . I was thinking that they(AA) had lost team in a higher classification (AAA) that had also made the playoffs out of their district just like Raceland (A) had lost to an East squad that made the AA playoffs when in fact they lost to a team that finished out of the playoffs.:sssh: You are corerct though in that it has no bearing on a Raceland / Russell game, I was just trying to make a comparison and give an opinion. You just presented another fact that was overlooked by everyone.:thumb:

Boyd Co was 3-0 and on a roll before the Russell game. After that the Lions fell apart for a bunch of reasons that are better left for the BC faithful to talk about.

East Carter was 1-1 with a 21-3 loss to Greenup the opening week. Things aren't always what they seem. It is debatable which loss was worse. Either way I was very happy with the results from last season.
