July 5, 201610 yr Why do ya'll act like we were supposed to be good this year and they are some disappointment lol. We are in the first year, of what is at best, a three year process of rebuilding. For me, it's the way the Reds are losing. - Bullpen has been way below what were already very low expectations since day 1. An average bullpen would have given Reds a decent start and some improved confidence / attitude -- even if it was "fools gold." - Starting rotation has been putred. We knew the 5+ the Reds were going to run out there every day were young and inexperienced. They were, however, supposed to be talented. They may yet prove that the talent is there but leading MLB in walks & HRs allowed by huge margins is not what I expected. - Offense is spotty at best. Duvall, Bruce & Cozart have been nice surprises but may already be returning to the back of their baseball cards. Suarez had nice power #s to start the season but has tailed off dramatically. His defense at 3B needs to improve to be "adequate." Phillips is old, slow and appears disinterested. Below low expectations. Votto started awful and is now improving. However, as he improves he is managing to tork off opposing and Reds fans alike. Hamilton remains a "?"
