June 7, 201610 yr Author Lying isn't the issue here. It's credibility. I also searched for about 20 minutes last night and came up empty. Tomorrow I'm going to start a thread with a headline that reads: "All BGP posters from X County are child molesters." I'm going to say I heard about these allegations on Twitter and Facebook and in discussions. Then I'm going to ask for feedback. Sorry, no links or Twitter screen grabs that I can share. You'll just have to trust me because "I'm your friend." Then I'm going to get offended when people challenge my allegation. Except in your defensive state you missed the fact I didn't accuse anyone or any group. I had a pretty thought provoking discussion with colleagues and friends on this topic. I as a white guy didn't ever give two thoughts about it. But it was interesting to hear some different takes. Maybe the headline could of been a little better ? But I thought it would generate a similar discussion here. I guess I was wrong. I expected to much.
June 7, 201610 yr Back to the topic. I'd really like to see the original thought from twitter or email.
June 7, 201610 yr We were far from the nation of freedom we were portraying, but I don't see how the heroism of D-day should be discounted by that. To me that seems displaced aggression. The seems another case we run into where social media provides ALL a voice, and normally no one would hear/read their opinions.
June 7, 201610 yr I would suggest that folks take a look at the warning to CI posters that theguru posted back in March (HERE). Everyone needs to cut out the shots at one another and keep to the topic at hand if they want to maintain their access to the CI forum.
