Since coming over to the 14th Region back in 2006, Estill County has went 132-3 against region opponents alone, 90-1 against district opponents. Overall Estill is 262-161 since 2006. Estill has won 9 of the 11 region championships and all but 1, they have been in the region championship game. Estill has won every district title since 2006.

That's impressive

It's also my understanding that they won the 10th region titles the two years before they entered the 14th region. They're very gifted in softball. They play a tough Bluegrass schedule and only play 14th region games that are district and required for seeding. Some of the teams in the southern part of the region grumble about that but I suppose they do it mostly for convenience of travel time and money saving reasons.

That's understandable but I also understand Estill's point of view, if you know your gonna crush a team in 3, 4 or 5 innings, that's 2 hours or so away, why waste the fuel to go play them? This isn't a knock to anyone of the teams in the 14th. I do wish Estill would start playing teams like Jenkins, Perry Central, Hazard, Leslie County. Estill was suppose to play Hazard this past year but due to Hazard having prom, they had to cancel.

Its a financial decision I would think. I understand why they do it. Do the boys schedule mostly out of region games too, except for districts?

Boys play most regional teams. I'm trying to get Coach Crowe to schedule some Lex Schools, Scott County and possibly Greenup County for next season if he has room.
