May 15, 201610 yr Ohio HS Pitcher Jaret Edwards Struck Out Every Batter He Faced in Perfect Game | Bleacher Report In a game called after 5 innings due to a 10 run rule, the pitcher struck out all 15 batters that he faced. I don't know his pitch count, so I guess for it to be a perfect perfect game he would have needed to have done it in 45 pitches...but still, awesome performance by the George Washington University bound pitcher.
May 15, 201610 yr I think I heard it won the state championship and he opened the season with a no hitter. Impressive.

I think you're confused on what constitutes a perfect game. All of the pitches don't have to be a strike for it to be a perfect game. A perfect game means a pitcher didn't allow anyone to reach base at all. He retired everyone he faced. They don't even have to be strikeouts.

May 15, 201610 yr It was a perfect game, because he retired every batter he faced. It was a perfect, perfect game, because he retired every batter, by striking out every batter. It would have been a perfect, perfect, perfect game if he had retired every batter by striking out every batter on just 3 pitches per batter. All strikes, no balls.

May 16, 201610 yr Evidently you didnt. Notice I said Perfect Perfect game...not just Perfect. No I did. I just figured that was a typo. There is no perfect perfect game.
May 16, 201610 yr Author No I did. I just figured that was a typo. There is no perfect perfect game. Jeez...lighten up. See post 6, that's what I was getting at. What this kid did was called a true perfect game striking out every batter...I just expanded it to the next level saying if he threw nothing but strikes with no balls it would be a "Perfect, Perfect Game"

I'm not upset by any means. I understand what you're saying. I just explained to you why I made my original comment because I thought you had made a typo because there is no perfect perfect game. We're good.
