Final Score for the 1st game of the Death Valley Bowl

From the reports I heard from the Lincoln County side, the Patriots did a decent job of containing the PRP speed. PRP scored first with a FG, then Lincoln countered with a long (70 or so yards) run by Trent Calhoun. It sounded like a decent game in the first half. After that, Lincoln could not maintain a drive.

 

At one point, LC was up 13-9 but PRP scored 21 unanswered to win 30-13.

Lincoln turned the ball over way to much to win the game. LC is a decent team but not to many people are going to be able to run option against PRP and have good success.

LC had two TDs called back the second one broke their backs.

From the report I read in the CJs online thingy, PRP had a RB and QB with over 100 yards rushing and a third with three TDs.

 

Trust me, they are stacked in the backfield. Kevin Ardis is the one who had the three TDs and he'll be a D-I guy before the end of the year. He's sat out two years in a row after rushing for 1,000 yards as a freshman.

I am sure PRP looked very good last night with that backfield they have.

Do not let the score fool you to much on this game. Lincoln had 2 touchdowns called back on 2 very questionable calls. There was also another questionable call that led to a PRP touchdown. With that being said Lincoln did not play up to its best potential and made way to many mistakes. PRP is very good and have plenty of speed to give anybody playing them a headache.
