May 2, 201610 yr Four children and 3 in-law children that are millennials and they'd take issue with this big time. I am sure there are specific people she knows that maybe have these traits, but in general, millennials are about the same as any generation. They adapt to the times and do whatever it takes to survive.

The previous generations always have labeled the new generation as entitled, or that they have it easier. Today's kids aren't any worse. Sure they do things differently, but much of that has to do with advances in technology. Musically, it's been the same themes, just different styles. Remember, Elvis and the Beatles were seen as the downfall of a generation. If anything kids are pushed so much harder now, whether it's academics, sports, or any activity. High schoolers regularly take college courses, a whole industry has popped up around college entrance exams, travel/AAU sport with personalized and individual training. We sometimes are so busy pushing our kids to be the best, it's no surprise that socially kids may not be as well adjusted and we instill such a fear of failure, that when they do fail it's crushing, which leads to things like depression and drug addiction.

Despite that, my kids have become responsible adults. Some of their flaws, I take responsibility for, but I also take pride and ownership of their strengths. If I had it to do all over again, I would have done some things differently, but overall, I feel great about who they are becoming. They are no different than any other generation. There are good and bad in every generation.
May 2, 201610 yr Stop it! These kids are idiots and if Trump don't take us back to the good old days these kids will run this country straight to Hades. :taz:
