April 26, 201610 yr Most of Kentucky will be looking at strong to severe storms again late Wednesday afternoon into the early morning hours on Thursday. My thinking is once again the storms should fire up close to the same time as they did on Tuesday. One difference is that the atmospheric energy sees to increase and move eastward as we go into Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. 5 pm EDT 8 pm EDT 11 pm EDT 2 am EDT The tornadic threat seems to ramp up between 5-8 pm EDT. Especially in WKY where there could be a few of tornadoes some of which could be strong. I will update in the morning. Remember I'm staying in Severe Weather Alert Mode for Wednesday. 5 pm EDT 8 pm EDT 11 pm EDT 2 am EDT

April 27, 201610 yr Author @rockmom let your son know they should watch the weather this afternoon. They along with those in WKY look to have the best chance to see severe storms. Looks like a decent chance of super-cell storms that could produce a tornado or two. Anytime between 2-6 pm EDT. The rest of Kentucky could see strong to severe storms with a slight chance of tornadoes through early Thursday morning. The main threats, for now, seem to be damaging winds and hail. I'll update throughout the day when I can. Stay weather aware this afternoon into Thursday.
April 27, 201610 yr Author @rockmom Here is the thunderstorm outlook between 4-8 pm EDT this evening.
April 27, 201610 yr Supposed to be playing Waterfront Wednesday tonight, but I'm afraid it's going to be rained out. Bummer.
April 27, 201610 yr Author Midday update: Looks like most of the severe weather will happen west of I-65. Strong to severe storms will still be possible east of I-65 during the overnight hours but I don't think they will be as severe as those in WKY. Timing is still around about the same time as yesterday afternoon. The threat for WKY and Southern Indiana could last till about 11 pm EDT. Damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of a few tornadoes. The strongest of which could occur in WKY. Energy in the Atmosphere 5 pm EDT 8 pm EDT 11 pm EDT Significant Tornado Probability 8 pm EDT 11 pm EDT 2 am EDT

April 27, 201610 yr The sky is looking ominous to the southwest from my home in Booneville. I went outside and took down the flag from its pole attached to the back porch. Last year a strong storm twisted it from the porch, brackets and all.
